Danielle Butin, MPH, OTR is the Founder and Executive Director of the AFYA Foundation, a medical supply recovery organization in Yonkers, New York.  Since its inception in 2007, AFYA has shipped over 180 40-foot containers packed with recovered humanitarian and medical supplies to African and Caribbean nations.  The AFYA Foundation has partnered with public health missions in 56 countries around the world including Haiti, where it manages a network of rehabilitative medicine clinics.  Ms. Butin recently traveled to Greece where she is assisting in the humanitarian efforts for Syrian refugees.  She has received national recognition and awards for her leadership in the development of health education programs and materials.  Ms. Butin received her Maters in Public Health with a specialization in Geriatrics and Gerontology at Columbia University and her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from NYU.
